What To Expect
Phnom Chisor is to the south of Phnom Penh. The temple there was built in the 11th century by King Suryavarman I. It is made of laterite and bricks and carved sandstone lintels. Explore the temple and admire the views before returning to the bottom. You also will have an opportunity to take cruise past pretty villages and rural scenery towards Phnom Da. There, you will climb the hill and admire the 11th century temple built on top. The views are memorable and provide a lovely setting in the late afternoon.
Description
Depart in the morning from Phnom Penh and transfer 1.5 hours south of Phnom Penh to Phnom Chisor. Upon arrival at Phnom Chisor you will climb the 461 steps to the top of the hill for a magnificent view. Take a short break before you continue by car to Takeo. Enjoy lunch upon arrival in Takeo at a local restaurant then board a rustic boat. Cruise past pretty villages and rural scenery towards Phnom Da and enjoy a visit to the Angkor Borei temples on the way. The earliest archaeological evidence found at Angkor Borei dates back to the 5th century. Continue to Phnom Da light. Return to Phnom Penh by private vehicle. Tour ends.
